This is officially my nerdiest weekend of the semester.
I haven’t really written much because I’ve been so busy writing other things. Amongst my most recent pennings are my applications for med school. While my Ontario applications were due October 1st, I found myself applying to McGill, and to OGS for grad school funding just in case all else fails. It’s not the applications that I’m worried about - it’s what direction my life is going to take based on these applications. I want more than anything to go to medical school, yet due to the competitive nature of the application process, there is a very real chance that I might not get in this year.
This weekend however I find myself putting that stress aside and studying for the three upcoming midterms I have this Tuesday. I spent last night studying in the Science Complex along side several dozen first-years for their CHEM*1040 midterms that they had this morning. I laughed - three years ago, I was in their position and loathed the idea of a Saturday morning midterm. I can still remember finishing that midterm and waltzing out into the Prairie quad with many others from Homestead 3 and playing frisbee until we decided to venture off to the mall and the LCBO.
Here’s to a healthy and stressful semester everyone!
